And that’s Not Even the Worst Part

We have made it socially acceptable for straight male relationships / friendships to become a cold-blooded display of machismo. My generation assumes that the epitome of manliness is being tough as nails, showing no emotions, kindness or remorse towards our male friends. If you behave otherwise, you will be labelled something you are not.

And that’s not even the worst part; I cannot tell my son I love him without feeling weird or self-cautious – this is what my generation has done to me.
