THE WEEK’S TOP TEN WITH PAULO

Another lovely week of great music is upon us. Hope you all had a wonderful week. Mine was great and the songs below are partly to thank for my incredible week.

1. Locked Away – Rock City ft. Adam Levine

An unexpected collaboration but yet another masterpiece from the duo Rock City. Adam Levine just became Adam Levine and if your jaws don’t drop at the amazing sound they produced, it will be because you don’t have a jaw or this song.

2. Back Up – Dej Loaf ft. Big Sean

Currently the masses don’t shy away from calling her the queen of rap, with each song she affirms their faith in her and the title. She brings Big Sean along for this one and anyone on her case better Back Up off her cause she could go ham on you.

3. All I want – Verse Simmonds ft. Jeremih

Verse Simmonds has some of the most brilliantly sang and produced songs although they never really make it to heavy air play and heavy rotations on playlists. This one featuring Jeremih just might straighten that out.

4. R.I.C.O – Meek Mill ft. Drake

As of a few days ago, Meek Mill had the number one album in the US and listening to the songs off it, it is quite obvious to see why. He features the OVO music giant Drake and they deliver a song well packaged and balanced. Go get that album.

5. Candy Land – Justine Valentine ft. Fetty Wap

Justine Valentine is with the Trap Queen mastermind Fetty Wap for an incredibly unique collaboration that will definitely steal that spot on your next week’s playlist.
6. Gboza – R2Bees ft. Davido

Nigeria is still reigning on the continent and one of its finest Davido teams up the Ghanaians R2Bees to bring us this song that will definitely be another one of those club hits, radio and now your playlist.

7. HardRockLover – Prince

I didn’t care much for his music, I always had this feeling of his music is too old for my generation and our music, but after an accidental download of this song, I am looking for Prince’s music like someone hid the keys to my future in there.

8. Nothing But Trouble – Lil Wayne ft. Charlie Puth

Lil Wayne has a lot of new music out, a new compiled project as well and one of the remarkable pieces off it features Charlie Puth – You might remember him as the guy that made you shade tears with that gloriously executed Chorus on Fast 7s “See You Again” with Wiz Khalifa.

9. Hundreds Of Thousands – Dizzy Wright ft. Demrick

Dizzy Wright after J Cole is that rapper I could listen to all week long and wake the next week and do it all-over again. He demonstrates more of the exceptional qualities about his music on this song that features Demrick.

10. All I think about – Bad Meets Evil

Guess who is back!? That’s right, Eminem and Royce. Another one of those clever punchline filled creation is also upon us this week.

BONUS

Fresh – Klear Kut ft. P-Unit

Klear Kut is a Ugandan rap crew that boosts some of Uganda’s finest rappers and they featured P-Unit on this song and as the title seems to prophetically reveal, this song is as Fresh as the “just got out of the shower.”
Till next week, enjoy these updates on your playlist.
